We called John Moore to come out and look at a toilet that was clogged. Charged us around $250 to come out and try to snake it and that didn't work. They came back the next day and told us something was stuck in the toilet and it needs to be replaced (they couldn't even tell us what was in there with a camera). They quoted us $1700 to replace this old toilet. Looking at the itemized quote, the cheapest toilet they would replace it with was $900 and the rubber fitting was $400. After some quick research, we knew this was not ... read more

I called John Moore because my hot water heater stopped working a few months ago but I hadn’t had the money to fix it at that time. I assumed it just needed new heating elements but that was just my best guess - I had no idea what was actually wrong. They sent Rey to my home - a project manager - not a plumber. He stood in my house with his iPad - never once touched the hot water heater and basically told me if it had stopped working that long ago he wouldn’t be able to remove the elements because they would be too calcified... read more

Toilet was backing up, called John Moore. He stated he looked at the pipes under the house and it was "BAD". He stated there were broken pipes and leaking....gave me a written quote for $32,000!!!! He said everything needs to be replaced. I hired a company that only does camera work (they dont sell anything) & there was NO broken pipes, just normal wear and tear. BEWARE of John Moore, that man seems nice on tv, but its a scam! I have now read reviews & there are many stories like this.

John Moore installed a new ac that I believe we didn’t need after a tune up special with no problems we suddenly started having problem after John Moore did their tune up special. Several days later we found the AC was making considerable air noise, and with our standby generator the lights flickered when the compressor started. He said JM didn’t install a compressor saver to avoid flickering with the generator. They had to come back and reinstall the whole unit because it wasn’t installed to code. After the reinstall, Randy... read more

The technician told us our dehumidifier was broken and needed to be replaced and then said the thermostat was broken and needed to be replaced. Neither of which were broken whatsoever. He tried to aggressively sell us on services we didn’t need or ask for and was not able to address the issue we were experiencing. He also followed up with me several times after I told him I didn’t feel comfortable with the services or costs he suggested we needed. I ended up hiring a local small business to come out and they were able to fix... read more

I normally do all my plumbing work at house. The tub faucets were dripping and neaded new seat kits. I had done this job twice before. I had temporary health problems and couldnt do the work that time, so I called John Moore. I showed the repairman the new kits which I had already bought, so he didnt have to go to store (and bill me for it). He said they were the wrong ones (which was obviously wrong). He gave me an estimate of $500 to do the work and I told him no thanks. I waited a few month until I could do the work and d... read more

Unbelievably expensive for what little they do for you. Recommend you avoid them. To repair a small ceiling pipe leak, they installed 20 foot of pex, cut a hole in my ceiling, then left the hole, and charged me $2,000!!! Caveat Emptor.

I agree below, technicians have been friendly and attentive. In addition very quick response times! But.... After spending 12K on a brand new unit 3 years ago and signing up to the $500 a year service agreement expecting I am good with no surprise major repair costs for the next 10 years, last two service agreement visits I have been hit with a $250 nitrogen clean out of a new exterior drain line they replaced and redesigned 3 years ago and now a $1300 in line filter replacement that they installed new 3 years ago? According... read more
