They are unable to provide timely Pest Control services, as advertised. I suspect they don’t have the resources to meet the demand. The HVAC team — unable to follow up on an issue - never returned after “ consulting with specialist “…. It’s all about the sales and generating income, not about keeping commitments and customer service.
I'd have to question the use of "Professional Services" in John Moore's name or advertising. I had two (2) complete HVAC systems installed a week ago over two days. The first installation ran into problems and the Install team were here 14 hours however, they did get one system installed and working. The issue is that the installation will not meet current codes and they have remediation work on the interior sheet rock. Several John Moore "Professional" personnel reviewed the work on the install day and commented that they w... read more
Please don't use them - we are on day 5 of trying to get them to fix AC issues in the midst of the worst heat wave in Houston area in years. Under warranty for work and multiple techs have been sent out - conflicting reports of the issue - nothing wrong, dump in more freon - coil is bad and under warranty and we'll replace - they replaced and everything should be fine - we're on day 5 and not working, house temp is soaring and they quite frankly don't seem to care. You can't get anyone in authority on the phone. They keep se... read more
Well, their sales tactics are unethical. My AC stop working at my house in the midst of triple digit heat. My appointment time range was between 8am-12pm. The “tech” arrived at 2pm. He “checked” my ac condenser in less than a minute. He didn’t even use any any equipment. He went to my breaker stated that the ac tripped the breaker and not going to work. However I checked the breaker before he arrived and everything stated on. He checked my attic briefly and then stated a whole new unit is need and quoted 15k. I asked if ther... read more
I am disappointed due to pipe work that took 1 day to complete but 3 1/2 weeks to complete. I will start from the time the hole was dug up pipe replace was one day but the hole was there for a week I had to call for to have water company to inspect which John Moore did not notify. The next week the city came to inspect the pipe which he cleared it. I ask him if I needed to notify John Moore he said no he will send in the report. After a week I notified the company to ask when someone would come out and fill the hole. I was t... read more
The water line to my home sprang a leak in my front yard. John Moore plumber came out and said it could cost up to $4000 as they may have to dig up as much as 15 feet of yard to find the leak. They dug up 6 feet of yard, found the leak and repaired it. Charged me the full $4000. Should have charged $1000 to $1500 maximum. I was ripped off by this company.
Do not use!! My 94 year old grandmother called them because her toilet was not filling properly. The service rep arrived but never checked the water line, and convinced her the toilet needed to be replaced. He took advantage of her by overselling to a handicap toilet which would cost her $1,100. I checked on her later that day and unscrewed the hose leading to the toilet which was full of sand because she has a well pump to her house. If the service rep would have done the same he could have cleared it out just as I did and ... read more
John Moore is thoroughly dishonest and their prices are grossly inflated. Their plumber outright lied about what was required and attempted to charge us nearly $10,000 for repairs. At least half of the repairs were completely unnecessary. The honest plumber laughed when he saw it and charged us a total of only $1,600. John Moore had sent laborers out to dig a 34" hole just before we fired the company. John Moore charged us $1,100 for a 34" hole that took the laborers 15 minutes to dig. By the way, the other plumbers laughed ... read more
A technician came to our house to perform seasonal heating maintenance on 2015 furnace. Told us we needed a new draft inducer motor. That there was carbon monoxide in the air. Measured it at 3 something. Said if it was 5 he would have to shut furnace off. Imagine my distress! He said it would cost around $2000. He suggested also that we go out to get plug in carbon monoxide detectors because they detect better closer to the ground. Ours were in ceiling. He was shown the door. I called another Company and was told your furnac... read more
