We hired this company for changing a Water heater. We were in a rush to complete the service, because our heater broke, so we had no time calling other companies to get estimates. I’m writing this review because the plumber from John Moore tried to sell me unneeded and expensive services. I had a clogged kitchen sink. I told the plumber, Victor, that I might have accidentally run some grease down the garbage disposal. Victor, told me I had 2 choices. I could have the drain snaked (the term he used was different but the same process) for $270 or I could clean the pipes with jets for approximately $760. I chose to snake the drain. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND MISREPRESENATION TO A 76 YEAR OLD ELDERLY WOMAN. A $3000. REPAIR WITH 18 MONTHS ZERO FINANCING TURNED OUT TO BE 24.99% SO THE AMOUNT IS A LOT MORE. THEY LIED TO MY MOM.

Their prices are almost as high as ******. You have to do your homework, compare prices. I found John Moore HVAC prices to be about 3 times higher. $2000 repair was about $5600 with John Moore using the same parts.

John Moore Plumbing quoted approximately $1700 to repair pipe leaks, partially completed the repair, then wanted to charge additional monies to fully complete the repair. The customer service lady told us on a recorded line it would be covered under warranty, but the plumber continued to refuse to make the repair without demanding we pay him additional monies. Horrible company! They sent a tech out back in May to check our ac because it was not getting cool at all. When the guy came he stated there was a leak and informed of us we had to pay half the bill in order for them to start the work. We had to take care of it ASAP because our 5 year warranty was expiring in June so we were ready to pay to get the job started. A different guy came 2 weeks later to take our payment. The work that was done was good but the billing is very strange they will send a invoice for one amount that was correct then send a statement that is several hundred dollars more and not correct when you call to ask what’s up they first say you owe the extra money but when you go over the invoice they tell you that somehow your account is now zero balance so everyone needs to double check your invoice and make sure it is correct because if you ever over pay you may have a problem getting your money back

Explain why I pay to have john Moore service my ac and say it is good. And then in the middle of summer when it goes out, they cannot even come to my house because my wife tested positive for covid? She would be in the bedroom were they would not even go I would be wearing a mask. And staying 12 feet away from them. But now the house will get to 90 and my wife who is already having trouble breathing will get worse. And we have t wait 14 days in the heat to get John Moore to get us service. So the people that need ac the most... read more

Contracted John Moore Services to check my A/C system. Was told they were running a special for a $69 service call fee. I told the tech I suspected the compressor start capacitor was bad. He confirmed it was and replaced it with one he had on his vehicle. I was then presented with a bill charging me for $468 for the capacitor plus $69 for the service fee. I paid the fee but later decided to look up the part to see the retail price of the part. About $11. Now I understand the logistics and cost of carrying parts on the servic... read more
