We were shocked at the price to repair what seemed like a minor issue. The tech could not explain why it was so much and after working on our toilet for 1.5 hours, he was on his way and we paid the bill. Then my husband had to spend over an hour working on it himself. This made us even more upset with the high price. BUT after getting in contact with the plumbing manager, Joe, he had a better explanation for why the work was considered a "major" issue and thus the resulting price. Of course my situation was unusual! They either had to move duct work to get to the pipe or rent a special piece of equipment to solve the problem at the source. To my surprise they got the equipment came back and everything was finished in 2 hours from original arrival and I didn't have to arrange another day off. Understandably more than I expected, but done well.
